This is something I hadn’t thought about DIYing, but now after looking at a few I might give it a whirl. Here are my top three faves:
I think this one from Target is nice, but it’s $40…that seems a bit much for something I won’t have much use for after the wedding:
These next two are from Etsy and maybe I’m wrong, but I feel like I can go to Hobby Lobby and buy a box and some paint and hook this up:
This one is my favorite…but again, I think I can buy some wallpaper and ribbon and a box and make this myself for less than $45:
So what do you think? I’m not super crafty, but I feel like this is a reasonable project…this shouldn’t lead to frustration should it?

No. The second one just looks like wrapping a present. Definitely doable. I think I am going to just get a basket from walmart or big lots. Simple. Classic. In fact, I have some already around the house. I can tie a black and pink bow on it to incorporate our colors if I want to.
I like the basket idea…don’t know if it’d go in my venue though.
I was thinking a basket as well. I have so many baskets from gift sets..that I was thinking a can of spray paint and a big bow and I am going to make it work!

I think that’s totally doable! I’ve made one before and it really is just like wrapping a present, and even if you’re not good at that, it’s a good project to get some help with. There’s definitely no need to pay $45 for something like that unless your trials go really hay-wire, haha.
If Patti’s doesn’t work out, maybe I can delegate this one out. 🙂

I like the paper idea…but there’s also the option of free, which is nice.
These ideas are cute and definitely doable. You could also reclaim an old birdcage and use that as well!
Yeah, someone has said that I could use theirs from their wedding, so maybe I’ll do that.
I love the last one especially since my colors include gold. I haven’t tried but I’ve been told DIY card boxes are simple. Set aside a saturday morning and I am more than confident you can get it done. Let us know how it goes, I may want to try it too.

This is definitely a do-it-yourself project, or…a project you can assign to one of your bridesmaids : ) Definitely not something you should spend a lot of $ or time on.
I ended up getting one from a lady who got married a couple of months ago just for the cost of shipping!
